Here’s a link to a good piece I noticed the other day that can serve as a reminder to those young people out there that every little word counts. As someone who teaches writing nearly every semester, I see all sorts of mix-ups in student work. From the common who/whom and then/than confusion to the lesser known continuously/continually rule, I’ve seen it all. And as the author notes, these problems can make you look bad if you’re not careful. If you ever have problems deciding which words to use in certain situations, this short article is for you. Take a look, and feel free to let me know if there are other word choice dilemmas with which you may need help.
