A new pop culture analysis from the smart video essayists at Nerdwriter arrived a few days ago, and it's on Seinfeld, the legendary sitcom for those of us whose teen years were formed in the '90s. In this excellent clip, the show is presented as a form of literature subject to comparisons to French author Gustave Flaubert and to theories like deconstructionism. The "nothingness" that made the show so famous is actually quite something. And its "no hugs, no learning" narrative style proved to be a defining marker in the evolution of television storytelling. This is what makes studying English fun, and if you aren't on board, then no soup for you. Be sure to also check out other videos on the Nerdwriter YouTube channel. Enjoy!
